Hi! My name is Shani Goldstein and I am aJunior here at FSU majoring in International Affairs. I was raised in Coral Springs, FL. My favorite foods include pasta, rice, and bread, and I love reading and traveling. Judaism is very important to me and has helped shape my life. I went to Sunday school as a child and eventually attended Judaica High, as well as participated in my Synagogue’s youth group. I also worked as an assistant Hebrew School teacher my senior year of High School. I plan on bringing many ideas to Hillel to hopefully make us bigger and better in the future. I also hope to help people be able to make a deeper connection to Judaism and find a home here at Hillel.

I have always loved being a part of the Jewish Community whether through going to services or being active in USY (United Synagogue Youth), and I hope this year I can make Hillel a home away from home for you, just like it is for me!

2017 Leadership Board of FSU
Jewish Student Leadership Day
Hillel at FSU is pleased to present the 2017 Student Leadership Day. The event designed to give participants an introduction to leadership on campus with a Hillel twist. The purpose of Student Leadership Day is to provide students with the tools to get to know one another, learn about different campus opportunities, and to be exemplar leaders in our community. Student Leadership Day targets two specific groups of FSU Students: emerging leaders and current Jewish Student leadership. Leadership Day is also a valuable program for students who may not have been involved in leadership previously, but would like to explore leadership opportunities in the university setting.
By participating in this energetic and dynamic event, participants will gain critical skills that will help them create positive, sustainable leadership in a wide array of organizations at Florida State University, and the Tallahassee community – both Jewish and non-Jewish. You will also have the opportunity to meet like-minded freshmen, sophomores, and prominent student leaders and staff of both Hillel at FSU and the Center for Civic Education and Leadership.
Student Leadership Day begins at 9am and concludes at 3pm.
Students interested in being a participant of this fun, inclusive, Jewish community-based seminar should request and complete the participant application and return it to Hillel at FSU. The completed application, including your short essays, must be received by email. Students will be notified about their acceptance to the Student Leadership Day. Space is limited so please turn in your applications ASAP.
Hi! My name is Jenna Wolff and I am so excited to be serving as Vice President! I am a sophomore pursuing a degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Entrepreneurship, and I am originally from South Florida. My favorite food is frozen yogurt and I like to spend time with friends and participate in activities through my sorority, AOII, during my free time. My favorite Jewish memories involve huge family holiday dinners where I could catch up with relatives from all over the country. As VP, I hope to plan engaging and fun activities to unite Jewish Students at FSU, while allowing them to find their second home at Hillel, as I did.
Hi! My name is Jordan Tiras and I am a junior here at Florida State majoring in accounting with a minor in Spanish. I am from Baton Rouge, Louisiana and while being there I was very active in my Temple Youth Group and NFTY region. I am currently serving as the Secretary for Hillel at FSU and I am also the Assistant Recruitment Chair for Relay For Life at FSU. When I am not actively working on homework or something for one of my positions, I am most likely relaxing with my sisters in Sigma Delta Tau Sorority. Probably my favorite experience to share about is that I spent my first year at FSU abroad living and studying in Valencia, Spain and in doing so fell in love with world travel and experiencing different cultures. I love to talk about all the cool places and food I was privileged enough to go and eat. Of course, Israeli culture is still one of my favorites and I can’t wait to experience it again on Birthright Summer 2017 with Hillel! I am super excited for all that this upcoming year holds for myself and Hillel, and I hope to see everyone during it!
My name is Evan Faust! I am currently a Sophomore here at FSU. I am so excited to be the next Greek Chair for Hillel at Florida State. I am psychology major and an active brother of Tau Kappa Epsilon. In addition to being active in psychology and Hillel, I am a research assistant through the art therapy department where my principle investigator and I study the effects of designed art therapy on children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. In addition to being Greek Chair, I also serve as the Secretary of my fraternity and always encourage member engagement for all our brothers. My career goal is to become a Child & & Family Psychologist and would enjoy to work with mothers who struggle with postpartum depression and help with attachment with their children. Furthermore, I am super excited to be a programmer this summer at URJ Camp Coleman, this will be my 9th summer at camp. This semester at Hillel, I hope to engage more individuals in Greek organization that are not as active in Hillel and to keep the already Greeks entertained.
Hi my name is Jessica Rolnick and I'm social chair for the 2017 year at Hillel at FSU! I am a freshman majoring in advertising and marketing. I was born and raised in Miami, Florida and throughout my life have been extremely involved in my local Jewish community. I served as chapter president in BBYO and spent 4 years with my life completely centered around it. Being so active in BBYO gave me a huge desire to be just as active in Jewish life around me once I started college. When I'm not working on school work and Hillel, I love exploring Tallahassee and spending time with friends. In addition to Hillel, I am also apart of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority and the FSU chapter of Spoon university. I'm so excited to be on Leadership board and I can't wait for an awesome year!
